Love the little things #1

This is my 1st time linking up to Love the little things that is hosted by Morgana over at butwhymummywhy. I had every intention of joining last week but with one thing or another I basically forgot! Hopefully I’ll remember from now on in, like most of my forgetfulness I’m blaming it on baby brain!

Some of my none blogging friends will have no idea what a linky is but hopefully you’ll still enjoy/put up with my weekly ramblings and keep reading!

So here goes with my Love the little things.

Read

One of the things I want to try to do more of in 2014 is to read more books. I have a couple of books that I started last year but didn’t get around to finishing. I’m going to start by finishing these. The 1st one I’m going to read is The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. It was such an easy book to get into and I’m intrigued by the story, I can’t quite remember why I put it down.

ULPHR

Watched

I’ve been catching up on my sky planner and found that I had 9 episodes of Elementary to watch so I’ve been having a kind of Elementary marathon. I really like this program it’s a different take on Sherlock Holmes and I think Johnny Lee Miller is brilliant in it.

Heard

The munchkin has taken to creating her own songs, so this week I have heard quite a lot of ‘new’ songs and lyrics. Some make sense, most are very loud and every now and again they’re in tune, she definitely gets her singing voice from me! It certainly puts a smile on my face listening to her and her musical creations!

Made

Although all the decs have been brought down and stored until next year, the munchkin found a sew your own stocking that she hadn’t got round to making. I spent some time together helping her put it together.

Wore

I’ve currently been wearing whatever fits. With an ever-growing tummy I have spent some time sorting out maternity clothes! Unfortunately I was much thinner the 1st time round 5 years ago so it looks like I’m going to have to spend a little on myself on some clothes that will last the next 5 months.

And Lastly…

It’s been back to school and work for us all this week and believe it or not it’s been good to get back into a routine. I loved being off over Christmas, but the munchkin was most definitely ready to go back to school!
