Here we are on week 3 of Love the Little Things!
Read
I finished reading To the Moon and Back, it was a really easy read. A little predictable but I do love a happy ending. I actually stayed up stupidly late one night reading so I read it quite quickly! I’m thinking I might start the other Jill Mansell bargain I got and start An Offer you Can’t Refuse this week.
Watched
Some of my favourite TV programmes are coming back on at the minute so I’m spoilt for choice! I record them and then watch them so I can skip the adverts! The new Girls series started, so I have watched the 1st two episodes this week
Heard
I heard this Bastille song, Of the Night, for the 1st time this week. It mashes together 2 songs I remember from early teens, Rhythm of the Night and Rhythm is a dancer. Although always get nostalgic whenever I hear these songs, I really like Bastilles version!
Made
At the weekend I made a stew for our tea, having a flashback to some of my childhood teas I made puff pastry to go with it, I probably could have made a pie with the pastry but as a child my mum used to make puff pastry into little squares for the side of our plate so that’s what I did!
Wore
My friends have given me some maternity clothes, which I am very grateful. I wore a pair of trousers this week but they had obviously been worn with a bigger bump than mine so were a little big! I looked rather strange having to keep hoiking them up. I think I’ll put them back in the wardrobe until the bump grows into them!
And Finally
The munchkin loved Glee Club! She came home with a sheet of songs that they’ll be singing at the performance at the end. Three of the songs are from one of my favourite musicals Hairspray! I’ve borrowed the DVD off a friend, who also loves the musical. In fact a few years ago we went to watch it when the production toured to Manchester, we may have also watched the film and then re-watched it with the lyrics on the bottom so we could sing along, badly, all the way through! I will be introducing the Munchkin to it this weekend!
Love love love that song! Really makes me feel nostalgic.
We are huge fans of Hairspray, I can’t count the number of times the girls have watched the dvd! Have a lovely weekend xx
I can’t stop listening to it now 🙂 I love hairspray too, I’m hoping she’ll enjoy it!
Glee club! Ace! Dinner sounds good love a bit of dinner with a memory!
