Although I didn’t put writing/blogging in my Things I’d Like to do in 2014 post it is something I would like to do more of this year. I have neglected my little corner of the Internet recently even though there has been plenty of words swimming round my head that really should have been put down in black and white! To help keep me going I plan to get involved in some linkys and blog hops.
This 365 linky by The Boy and Me is a lovely one! It’s simple really, take a picture a day to record what you have been up to, kind of like a photographic diary entry! I was even more keen when I realised that it didn’t matter whether the picture was from your phone or an expensive camera, the photo is just a snapshot of a moment in time, a memory captured.
So here goes. Here is days 1-4 of 2014:
Day 1
We had spent a fantastic night celebrating the New Year with some of our very good friends. Although alcohol was strictly of f the menu for me, the past few years I’ve been really poorly over the New Year celebrations and have been in bed, so it was nice to actually have a bit of fun to celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. Mr C however, overindulged, maybe he was drinking for the both of us! Needless to say we spent most of the 1st in our PJs. Mr C took full advantage of his new Onesie, which he says is very comfy, his face makes me chuckle and I was more than a little smug that I didn’t have a hangover.
Day 2
Mr C was back at work so it was just me and the munchkin! We did a lot of pottering in the morning. As we flew out (more of this soon) on Christmas Day she hadn’t  had any chance to play with any of her new toys. As it had finally stopped raining, when Mr C got back , we let her play on the drive with the Flickr that Santa had brought her. She spent quite some time perfecting some ‘tricks’ we of course had to make sure we were watching so we didn’t miss a thing!
Day 3
The munchkin decided that she wanted a head scarf, I have no idea where this idea had come from. For a large part of the day she had her PJ top wrapped round her head. It came to a point in the day that we were going to visit some friends, I wasn’t sure a PJ top was a great head scarf and we couldn’t find a scarf that had the right effect. We settled on a normal scarf and tied her hair up at the back. She was most pleased with the final result.
Day 4
Saw us visiting some of our other friends we don’t get to see as often as we’d like to. We always have a really good time. We’ve been on holiday together and our kids get on great! Once the kids were asleep and we’d had some scrummy tea, we played Pictionary, I’m quite partial to a board game, it was boys v girls and the girls won! I’m not saying the boys were sore losers but we didn’t play another round.
i havent played pictionary in years – i must get this when the boys are older ! good luck with the photo a day x
Thank You! This version had kids and adults cards although I’m not sure the kids choices were any easier!
Your munchkin is adorable, and I need a Batman onesie for myself! Love it.
Looking forward to seeing more photos through the year. 🙂
Thank You! I think I need to invest in one too, it looks so comfy!
Lovely photos. Sounds like you had a busy couple of days!
Thank you! It has been busy but enjoyable, we were all getting a little stir crazy 🙂
The first photo made me laugh – he, um, doesn’t look very superhero does he?! LOL. Great start to the project – I’m joining in as part of my growing commitment to my blog as well. Let’s do this!
He was not a happy bunny that day! Determined to stick to it! Looking forward to next week

You day 1 made me laugh as we had a very similar set up in our house, my hubby was rather hungover too after drinking for two the day before. No hangovers is definitely a big plus of pregnancy 🙂
He he! Yes it is!! I think he got a bit carried away!
I *love* the determination on her face and #thetongueofconcentration.
