It has been a fantastic week! We have had half term and I booked the whole week off. I have let the munchkin choose what she wanted to do each day and it has been a lot of fun spending time with her!
Here is my week in pictures:
Day 47
Sunday saw me at a friends house for a delicious tea! She’s a really good cook! We had pulled pork, mac & cheese, chips and salad! I literally had no room for pudding I was so stuffed! It was yummy! We also had a really good catch up, which is always lovely.
Day 48
Monday was mine and the munchkins 1st day off together! We went to the library to change some books, then we went to McDonalds for our dinner, her choice, on the way home we stopped at the park. It was chucking it down but it didn’t stop us having fun! We donned our wellies and waterproofs and had a little walk round. The munchkin loves muddy puddles so was completely in her element! To say she was a bit muddy when we got back is an understatement!
Day 49
Tuesday saw some indoor fun! We went to play crazy golf with some other friends. We decided not to score as the kids are quite competitive. I’m not sure the munchkin really stuck to the rules and was seen to walk the ball into some of the holes! We went for a scrummy dinner in Giraffe afterwards.
Day 50
All week the munchkin had asked to go swimming, on Wednesday I bit the bullet and said we could go! We had lots of fun splashing around! She really does love the water! Just need her to take her armbands off and actually start to swim now!
Day 51
We had a quiet day on Thursday, I caught up with a little housework (how boring) and the munchkin swapped between playing and watching TV. It was one of her friends birthdays at bowling in the afternoon, she had lots of fun, although they did spend most of the time running around rather than bowling!
Day 52
Saw us doing some baking! I can honestly say it was a bit of a disaster and the cakes didn’t even taste that nice, and I love all cake! They were meant to be coated in chocolate but I managed to burn it so we went with icing instead. The munchkin enjoyed herself though and even washed up, which is what really matters!
Day 53
Friday night we set off for a couple of nights in the lake district. The munchkin stayed at her nana and grandads for the weekend (she was extremely spoilt!) and we went with some friends to Bowness. Saturday we went for a little drive and a walk round Grassmere. I haven’t been since I was probably in my teens. We had a lovely walk round, even though there were showers on and off it was still a pleasant day! We spent some time wandering around the Wordsworth daffodil garden, which was very pretty and I imagine even prettier when all the daffodils bloom!
Don’t forget to pop over and see what other people have been up to this week!
Gosh your friends dinner looks great and your little girl has a darling smile. Mich x
