Love the Little Things #9

Friday again, my favourite day of the and time for my Little Loves for this week!

Read

I’m still struggling to read! I’ve got a few chapters in but I’m still reading The Making of Us. I have no plans this weekend so I’m really hoping to be able to get some time to settle down with the book.

Watched

I have watched some great things this week. On Saturday I had time to watch The Silver Linings Playbook. I loved this film. It was such a great story with just enough funny and sad. I’ve also watched the second series of Luther, Mr C has a man crush on Idris Elba, can’t blame him really! Finally I’ve watched My Mad Fat Diary! I love this programme! Although for some reason I think about it for days after I have watched it. I think because I know it’s based on the real diaries of a real person! It also has a really good soundtrack which reminds me of my teenage years!

Heard

As I mentioned last week, I’m earwormed easily. Songs literally pop into my head, I think this place on my blog is a great place to share these songs with you, I have no idea how they end up at the forefront of my brain, sometimes a word triggers them, they often end up the soundtrack to my day, even if they are just in my head.

Today this song popped into my head. I can’t sing, at all, there isn’t a note in tune when I try. This doesn’t put me off! This afternoon I was singing this at work and it triggered a very nostalgic conversation with my colleagues, reminiscing about this song and what it reminds them of. I’m sure it’s one you’ll remember.

Made

I was very proud of myself this week, I made pancakes from scratch for the 1st time. Mainly as everywhere I went had run out of batter mix, I also hadn’t realised how easy they were to do and tasty too!

Wore

My hair wavy! My hair is pretty long and very straight and I am rocking the ombre look it’s been that long since I had my roots done, it’s in desperate need for a cut and colour! For a bit of a change I made it wavy for a christening we went to on Sunday. It was still wavy when I woke up on Monday so I had a couple of days of none straight hair!

And Lastly

The lighter mornings and nights have really signaled the beginning of spring! We’ve also had a bit of sunshine which always makes me smile.

  1. I love freed from desire, reminds me if leaving college and going on my first girlie holiday to Ibiza! xx

  2. I cheated with the pancakes, normally I make them but I felt like being lazy this year! Silver Linings Playbook is a fantastic film x
