Celebration

Each day I need to take a minute.
To be thankful for the good things.
Look at the positives, cherish the memories made.
Look forward to moments yet to come.

Each day I need to take a minute.
To be thankful for the bad,
The negatives I’ll try to shake off.
Things sent to make me stronger
To forget about past mistakes. To forgive.

Each day I need to take a minute.
To be thankful for those I have in my life,
those I love, those who make me strive to be a better person.
Those who are my heart and soul.
To count my blessings.

Each day I need to take a minute.
To be thankful I’m alive,
That my friends and family are healthy (touch wood)
Be in awe of the baby and how far he’s come.
That on the whole I’m happy and my battles are small.

Each day is a celebration.
A celebration of life and living, of being alive.
Of getting through yesterday,
Of believing in tomorrow,
Of making today the best it can be.

Each day I need to take a minute
and be thankful for the celebration.

  1. Beautiful Becky – so hard to do sometimes isn’t it? A lovely reminder, thank you x

    1. It is so hard to do, I have been thinking about celebrating each day a lot more since the baby arrived, his start to life wasn’t easy and I am thankful we have him in our lives. Even on really grumpy days I need to remember how lucky we are xx

    1. I’m the same, we get so bogged down with the negatives we all just need to take a minute to see the positives. I’m guilty sometimes but we are lucky, some people don’t get to see the day through xx

  2. Lovely, I especially like the lines ‘Of getting through yesterday,Of believing in tomorrow, Of making today the best it can be.’ Something we should all try to do. Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt x
