I wait, I search, I pray
For silver linings.
A lone figure I stand
In the eye of the storm
As grey clouds and
Darkness swirls
Trying to suck me in
I wait, I sense, I hope
I feel the warmth
Of silver linings
Flashes of welcome light
To guide me through
Unwanted elements
I have been exposed
I wait, I enjoy, I restore
In silver linings
I know are always there
Giving meaning to this life I lead
Protecting hearts and souls
Against darkness that swirls
Not allowing it to suck me in
Absolutely love this, in fact I think it might be my favourite of yours. So descriptive and powerful, and wonderfully hopeful too. Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt x
Thank you I enjoyed writing this one x
Yes, I do like this saying and your poem speaks of hope so one to keep near when things aren’t so good. Lovely to meet through the linky 🙂 Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
How powerful – those silver linings are sometimes the only thing to get us through dark days. You capture this so beautifully in your writing.
How lovely! You’ve captured the joy of the silver lining which can sustain us through the darkest times.
Sending love, Becky. A beautiful poem. Cling on to those silver linings xxx #theprompt
