Silver

I wait, I search, I pray
For silver linings.
A lone figure I stand
In the eye of the storm
As grey clouds and
Darkness swirls
Trying to suck me in

I wait, I sense, I hope
I feel the warmth
Of silver linings
Flashes of welcome light
To guide me through
Unwanted elements
I have been exposed

I wait, I enjoy, I restore
In silver linings
I know are always there
Giving meaning to this life I lead
Protecting hearts and souls
Against darkness that swirls
Not allowing it to suck me in

  1. Absolutely love this, in fact I think it might be my favourite of yours. So descriptive and powerful, and wonderfully hopeful too. Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt x

  2. How powerful – those silver linings are sometimes the only thing to get us through dark days. You capture this so beautifully in your writing.
